F18D CARBON AERO ROAD DISC BICYCLE
Built in December 2018.
The F18D frame started as a concept to produce a disc brake-equipped racing bicycle without sacrificing aerodynamics. To this end, features include internally routed brake hoses and gear cables and an integrated seat post with an airfoil profile. Another innovation of the new frame is the use of a bladed fork (1 1/8” – 1 ½”) which blends seamlessly into the extended down tube for maximum aerodynamic benefit.
Stathis chose the all-new Campagnolo Super Record H12 Disc 2 x 12 speed groupset matched with Campagnolo Bora One Clincher Disc wheels (160mm front rotor and 140mm rear) for the running gear. Stopping power is provided by the powerful new Campagnolo flat-mount hydraulic disc brakes and the 12mm thru-axles front and rear provide precision and stability in all braking conditions. The build was completed with a Deda Elementi aero carbon handlebar and Superzero stem and a Selle Italia saddle.
The custom, unique paint scheme was his own design.
